The following courses are available to adult learners at Ravens Wood from September 2004:

I.T Essentials 1 (Course Code ITES1)
An understanding of all the elements in I.T Essentials1 will afford the student the prerequisites to obtain the CompTIA A+ Certification which represents a stepping stone to a career in I.T Technical Support. Students may wish to gain a deeper understanding of how their home PC works and just 'dip in' to the course or they may aspire to a career in the I.T industry and therefore wish to study all the modules in the course.

I.T Essentials 2 (Course Code ITES2)
This course assumes a degree of understanding of how computers function. It is an ideal course to follow on completion of I.T Essentials 1. The study programme is divided into modules which should be studied sequentially.

An understanding of all the elements in I.T Essentials 2 will enable a student to maintain small to medium sized client server networks.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Suite of Courses
This is split into the following 4 courses

• Networking Basics (Course Code CCNA1)
• Routers and Routing Basics (Course Code CCNA2)
• Switching Basics and Intermediate Routing (Course Code CCNA3)
• WAN (Wide Area Networking) Technologies (Course Code CCNA4)

The CCNA Certification demonstrates knowledge of networking for the small-office, home-office (SOHO) market and the ability to work in small businesses and organisations.

These courses take place at the school, in evening sessions, during term time with the curriculum accessible at all times via the internet. Further information about the courses and costs can be found via the links at the top left of the page.
